Marine resources

The objective of CSIRO Chile's work in the marine and coastal environment is to develop oceanic processes and carry out integrated analysis for the evaluation and management of renewable marine resources and of the territory.

Since 2016, CSIRO Chile has been working in collaboration with CSIRO in Australia, its researchers, laboratories and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure to successfully carry out its applied research.

In this area, CSIRO Chile has developed and executed projects related to the management of marine resources with an integrated and eco-systemic approach, developing tools that could support different actors to improve the management of marine resources, along with the sustainable development of marine and coastal resources.
