About

CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) is Australia’s applied research agency and one of the top 10 science organizations in the world. It was created 100 years ago by the Australian Government and currently has more than 5,500 employees in 60 centres in Australia and the world. The mandate and local commitment of CSIRO Chile, the first subsidiary office outside of Australia, is to work to generate a significant impact on the productivity of the Chilean economy, and for this reason we have mobilized more than USD $10 million in initiatives that promote the transfer of knowledge and technological development in cutting edge areas applied to Mining, Aquaculture, Land and Water Natural Disasters, Earth Observation and Social License to Operate, among others.
