Together with our research and industry partners, CSIRO Chile promotes collaboration in applied research between Chile and Australia, creating innovative solutions for current and future challenges of the mining industry in various areas.

Water

CSIRO Chile works for the development of applied science that faces the challenges posed by human interactions with the environment, to help build resilient, productive and healthy cities, industries and ecosystems.

Digital solutions

For an increasing number of usage scenarios, data analytics and machine learning prove their worth in handling real-world tasks with little human involvement.

Marine resources

The objective of CSIRO Chile's work in the marine and coastal environment is to develop oceanic processes and carry out integrated analysis for the evaluation and management of renewable marine resources and of the territory.

Energy

The need for renewable and low-emission energy is expected to grow rapidly in Australia and Chile, presenting both challenges and opportunities. New technologies that facilitate the development of low emission reductions from existing sources are the focus of our energy research.

Social license to operate

CSIRO works with an innovative model based on the Reflexivity tool to measure and explain the acceptance and trust that exists in the community about certain projects in various industries. The model shows that building trust is the key.
